(1) For the purpose of providing services to the consumers, the licensed organization may lay water and sewerage pipes or construct other structures on private or public land after completing the procedure according to the prevailing law.
(2) If the organization that has received the permit lays a pipe or constructs a structure on the private land of a person, it may purchase the land from the concerned land owner or take it on lease by making a written agreement.
(3) If it is not possible to acquire private land according to sub-section (2) or if it is not possible to acquire land, the organization that has received the permit may request the concerned body or authority to acquire such land in accordance with the prevailing law.
(4) If any private property is damaged due to the construction and operation of water supply service, sanitation service, project or service system construction and operation by the licensed organization, such licensed organization shall pay reasonable compensation.
