Rule 84
Subject of Debate, Order of Debate and Dignity of the Bench

(1) The bench shall determine the main points to be discussed before the debate.
(2) At the beginning of the argument, the lawyer present on behalf of the petitioner, plaintiff or appellant and then the lawyer of the respondent will argue.
(3) If there is also an amicus curiae in a case, he will argue on behalf of the defendant after the arguments are over.
(4) If there is an application or appeal from both parties in a case, the bench will determine which party's legal practitioner will argue first.
(5) If there is more than one legal practitioner in a case, the senior legal practitioner will argue as the chief legal practitioner and after him other legal practitioners will argue on more factual or legal questions. But with the permission of the bench, with the consent of the leading legal practitioner, the legal practitioner who is next in priority can debate.
(6) When debating, the legal practitioner should focus on the question to be decided in the case.
(7) In cases where there is more than one legal practitioner, the chief legal practitioner will be responsible for managing the overall debate including the time of the debate.
(8) When a legal practitioner enters the courtroom, stays in the courtroom, advocates a debate or leaves the courtroom, he must maintain the dignity of the courtroom.
