Section 9
Subject Committee
(1) The committee may establish different thematic committees as needed to ensure quality and effectiveness of the work related to accreditation.
(2) Based on the principle of inclusiveness, the subject committee formed according to sub-section (1) will have a maximum of five members including one coordinator.
(3) When nominating a member of the subject committee according to sub-section (1), the committee shall nominate a person who has obtained at least a master's degree in the relevant subject and who has at least ten years of experience in the relevant field as a member of the subject committee.
(4) The term of office of the member nominated under sub-section (3) shall be four years.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (4), if the performance of a member of the subject committee is not satisfactory, if he does not fulfill his official duties honestly, if he acts contrary to the interest or purpose of the committee or if he behaves badly, the committee may remove him from office. But before removing him from the position, he should be given a reasonable opportunity to present his justification.
(6) The members of the subject committee will get the facilities as prescribed by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance.
(7) Other work, duties and rights of the subject committee shall be as prescribed.
