Rule 13
If an official or employee who goes on a visit falls ill

(1) If an official or an employee falls ill on the way while visiting on foot for government work, he must report to the nearest police office. When traveling from one office to another office on foot after transfer, promotion or permanent stay, if any member of the family falls ill on the way, the same should be done.
(2) After receiving the information according to sub-rule (1), the nearest police office shall transport the sick official or employee or his family member to the nearest hospital or health post.
(3) In case of a police station, the expenses incurred in delivering according to sub-rule (2) shall be submitted through the District Police Office, and in the case of a District Police Office, the expenses shall be written and requested to be submitted to the office of the Controller of Funds and Accounts.
(4) According to sub-rule (3), the amount requested for disbursement shall be disbursed immediately from the allocated budget amount by the relevant Fund and Accounts Controller's Office.
(5) According to this regulation, if an official or employee dies while visiting in the course of government work, arrangements should be made to deliver the body of the deceased official or employee to the place requested by his family for cremation. In this way, when making arrangements to deliver the body of a dead official or employee, the family of the dead official or employee who is with the dead body must also be arranged to be delivered to that place.
(6) According to sub-rule (5), the related Nepali embassy or mission, if the expenses incurred in bringing the dead body are abroad, and if it is within Nepal, the district police office of the relevant district should make arrangements to spend and receive the expenses according to sub-rules (3) and (4).
