Rule 40
Vote counting

(1) After checking the ballot box according to Rule 39, all the ballots in the ballot box should be broken and poured into the counting place. ) among the ballots separated according to the above, first the invalid ballots and then the sadar ballots shall be counted and the number of such ballots shall be ascertained and the total number of ballots cast in the respective polling station shall be stated and a bond shall be made. It should be shown to the representative or the counting representative, but the ballot paper should not be allowed to be touched or held by him. After preparing the table in this way, it should be kept as a deposit. (6) Out of the ballots counted by the Election Officer, the Sadar and Badr ballots should be sealed in separate envelopes or bags. When sealing in this way, if the candidate, election representative or counting representative wants to do so, they should also allow them to do so. (8) If the candidate, the election representative or the counting representative does not stamp the bill or counting table prepared according to this rule, two other persons present at the polling place shall do the same and have it stamped.
