Rule 14
Duties, Duties and Rights of Polling Officer
(1) In addition to the duties, duties and rights mentioned elsewhere in the Ordinance and this regulation, the other duties, duties and rights of the polling officer shall be as follows:- (a) Participation in election related training and orientation program, (b) Ballot papers provided by the election officer's office, etc. (c) coordinate with the assistant polling officer assigned to the polling station, other employees and security personnel, (d) arrive at the polling station within the specified time and build the polling station in the manner prescribed by the commission, (e) If the election cannot be held at the designated polling station due to security, geographical difficulties and any other reason, and if another polling station needs to be set up immediately, then inform the election officer immediately, (f) coordinate with the local representatives of the parties and candidates to carry out the voting in a smooth manner, g) Monitoring the voting process carefully to ensure smooth progress of the voting process, (h) Inform the election officer from time to time about the voting activities on the polling day, (j) Tell the observers, journalists, monitors and security personnel who come to the polling station on the polling day about the status of the polling process. Providing information, (j) Conducting clean, fair and independent polling in the polling station, (k) Conducting the following in relation to the code of conduct:-(1) Election to parties, candidates, election representatives or polling representatives who have the duty to follow the code of conduct. Enforce compliance with the code of conduct, (2) prevent violation of the code of conduct by taking the help of local level, local administration and security personnel as necessary, (3) order to stop such action immediately if anyone is seen, understood or heard to have violated the code of election conduct, (4) election conduct Immediately report the action taken in relation to the violation of the code to the election officer's office.(2) When the supervisor is allowed to supervise the election, during the voting, ballot papers, voter's list, pens used to mark votes and ballot boxes etc. Voters are not allowed to touch the voting materials or enter the polling booth to see when the voter is marking their vote, but the scene of the voter dropping the ballot into the ballot box after the voter has finished casting the ballot can be allowed to be seen from a distance by the observer. Seal the election materials as required and deliver them to the election officer in a secure manner, (d) Perform other tasks as delegated by the election officer, (n) Complete the voting work subject to the prevailing legal provisions and the orders or instructions given by the Commission from time to time. 2) It shall be the duty of the assistant polling officer to assist the polling officer to carry out the voting work under the direct instructions of the polling officer. (4) According to sub-rule (3), if the polling officer is unable to perform the task, the polling officer or the assistant polling officer must immediately inform the election officer.
