Section 41
Entry to the polling station

(1) The polling officer shall not allow anyone other than the following persons to enter the polling station:-
(a) Voters,
(b) a candidate for the electoral system to be elected first or one of his election representatives or polling representatives,
(c) Proportional electoral system by electing or polling representatives of political parties,
(d) Supervisors authorized by the Commission,
(e) a person authorized by the Commission, Election Officer or Polling Officer,
(f) A child not exceeding five years of age accompanying the voter,
(g) A member of the family of one household accompanying the visually impaired or physically challenged voter.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the polling officer shall not allow a person carrying any type of weapon or an intoxicated person to enter the polling station, except for the security personnel assigned to protect the polling station.
(3) Except for the voters who have already entered the polling station, other voters will not be allowed to enter the polling station or stay there after the voting time has ended.
