Section 21
Protection from arbitrary dismissal etc.
: An armed police officer shall be given an opportunity of acquittal for a reasonable period of time to show cause why he should not be punished except in the following cases:-
(a) having been convicted of a criminal offense involving moral turpitude and sentenced to imprisonment by a court,
(b) convicted of an offense under section 27 and sentenced to imprisonment, or (c) The punishment officer has raised a pamphlet showing that he is not in a position to give an opportunity to be acquitted.
