Rule 8
Duties, Duties and Powers of Chief Registrar
(1) In addition to the duties and powers mentioned elsewhere in the Act and these regulations, the other duties, duties and powers of the Chief Registrar shall be as follows:-
(a) To regulate, supervise, control, direct and coordinate the administrative and managerial functions of the Supreme Court and subordinate courts and judicial bodies under the general direction and control of the Chief Justice, (b) Prepare and cause to be published the annual report of the Supreme Court (c) To manage and control the various divisions and directorates in the Supreme Court (d) To prepare proposals to be submitted to the full meeting and submit them for discussion and to implement the decision of the meeting,
(e) To determine and implement policies related to personnel management of courts, subordinate courts and other judicial bodies,
(f) If the work of the court and the subordinate courts cannot be carried out as per notice due to the vacancy of any gazetted employee post, by sending a demand form to the Public Service Commission for the filling of such post, appoint an employee in the contract service in the case of his court for a period until the Commission receives a permanent recommendation and the subordinate courts. or in the case of a judicial body to permit such appointment,
(g) Assigning the employees of the courts and subordinate courts to work for fixed or non-fixed periods as required,
(h) To prepare and implement periodic plans for the reform and development of the Judiciary (i) If any irregularity is found in the work of the employees working in the Supreme Court and subordinate courts, to take action in accordance with the prevailing law,
(j) Making necessary contact, relationship and coordination with the concerned bodies of the justice sector including the executive, legislature,
(k) To study the contemporary issues raised by the stakeholders in relation to the reform and development of the Judiciary and to resolve them by themselves.If there is a topic that needs to be distributed and submitted to the plenary meeting, prepare a proposal and submit it to the plenary meeting,
(l) To register documents brought to the court for registration and to register documents that cannot be registered,

(2) The Chief Registrar may delegate any of his powers to the Registrar, Assistant Registrar or any other officer.
