(1) Cases punishable by a fine of up to ten thousand rupees or imprisonment up to one year or both under this Act shall be dealt with by the Nepal Forest Service officer designated by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), the hearing officer shall use the procedures and powers as per the Special Courts Act, 2059 while proceeding and disposing of the case.
(3) According to sub-section (1), the party who is not satisfied with the decision made by the officer hearing the case may appeal to the district court within thirty-five days from the date of receiving the notification of the decision.
