Rule 38
Hearing officer
1 The authority to process and dispose of cases related to offenses under this regulation shall be with the custodian of the national park or reserve and for other areas with the district forest controller. 2 Without adversely affecting the generality of sub-rule 1, the right to prosecute and dispose of cases related to the following offenses shall be the assistant warden of the respective national park or reserve and the area forest conservator in his absence (9a. If entering the national park or reserve without permission, (b) if the wild animal killed, captured or injured is not entered in the hunting register,
(c) hunting without carrying a licence,
(d) If a camp is set up in a place other than the designated place for camping,
(e) in breach of any condition specified in the hunting licence,
(f) In the case of cutting or felling or otherwise damaging any tree sapling or any other forest produce within the national park or reserve worth up to five hundred rupees.
