Section 37
Verbal evidence
(1) In order to prove something, it can be proved by oral evidence, except in cases where a document must be presented according to this Act.
(2) Oral evidence must be direct, that is, if something that can be seen, heard or known with the help of any sense is sought to be proved, the person who directly sees, hears or knows that thing must give oral evidence in that regard. Clarification: The oral evidence given before the court as a witness by a person who hears or has knowledge of the matter to be taken as evidence in accordance with section 10, 11 or 12 will also be considered as direct evidence for the purpose of this sub-section.
