(1) According to sub-section (2) of section 5 of the Act, the composer, sound recording, performance or broadcast owner who wishes to register any composition, sound recording, performance or broadcast shall submit his An application should be submitted to the Registrar in the format of Schedule-1 Bmejim.
(2) If an application as per sub-rule (1) is received, the Registrar will examine the application and order the applicant to submit additional documents if necessary.
(3) If it is deemed appropriate to register such composition, sound recording, performance or broadcast in the name of the applicant from the documents requested in accordance with sub-rule (2), the registrar shall collect a fee of one hundred rupees in the name of the applicant within thirty-five days from the date of submission of the document and if the document is not requested, from the date of submission of the application. After registering the composition, sound recording, performance or broadcast, the applicant shall be given a certificate of composition, sound recording, performance or broadcast registration in the format as per Schedule-2. If it is not possible to register such composition, sound recording, performance or broadcast in the name, the registrar shall inform the applicant within seven days of the reason thereof. The registrar should arrange for the registration book.
