Rule 18
<br> about withdrawal from the register and re-registration
Any registered medical practitioner who wishes to remove his name from the register may do so by submitting an application. But even after he submits the application, there will be no obstacle to remove his name from the register as a punishment if any action is taken against him in accordance with the law.
(2) A doctor who voluntarily removed his name in this way can re-register his name if he re-applies and pays the full fee.
(3) In the event that the name has been removed under the conditions of sub-section (2) of section 13 of the Act, the doctor who wants to apply again and register his name will be registered after receiving the full fee according to the rules.
(4) According to sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Act, a doctor whose name has been removed from the register may apply for re-registration after 2 years from the date of removal of the name by promising to improve his character. The council will also consider his crime or conduct and decide whether his character has improved or not, and if it is decided to register his name, his name will be registered after taking the full form according to the rules.
(5) If the application given according to sub-rule (4) is not approved, the application can be made again after 1 year.
