Rule 2
Definition
: In this regulation –
unless the subject or context requires otherwise (a) "Act" means the Nepal Medical Council Act, 2020.
(b) "Registration" means the registration in the register where the names of doctors are registered according to the Act.
(c) "Permanent registration" means permanent registration made in accordance with this regulation.
(d) "Temporary registration" means temporary registration made in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Act.
(e) “Examination Registration” means registration for a period of one year.
(f) "Registration of Specialists" means the registration of persons who have master's degree, diploma in modern medicine.
(g) "Qualification" means degrees, diplomas, certificates, licenses or degrees recognized by the Government of Nepal for registration in the register as per the schedule of the Act.

(i) "University" shall mean a university or a similar educational institution having a medical faculty established and operating in accordance with the prevailing law.
(j) "Faculty" means the entire department of the subject proposed to conduct the course in medicine or the body established for the formulation of educational policy consisting of experts related to such subjects.
