(1) The Government of Nepal shall make an integrated or provincial strategic plan in consultation with the provincial government for the management of national forests and inter-provincial forests within the province.
(2) Subject to the strategic plan as per sub-section (1), the provincial government may make necessary arrangements for the protection, development and utilization of national forests and inter-provincial forests within the province.
(3) The Divisional Forest Officer shall, subject to this Act, prepare and implement the strategic plan of the National Forest within his area of ​​work in a participatory manner and approve and implement it as prescribed.
(4) The Government of Nepal may manage any area within the National Forest as a national project related to forestry.
