When traveling abroad, Nepali citizens can travel only with a valid passport issued in their name. However, according to the treaty agreement between the government of Nepal and a foreign government, if there is a provision that Nepali citizens do not need to obtain a passport to visit a country, then there is no need to obtain a passport for the purpose of visiting such a country.
