Rule 7
Work, Duties and Rights of Investment Promotion Board
In addition to the work mentioned in Section 5 of the Act, other work, duties and rights of Investment Promotion Board shall be as follows:-
(a) Requesting or inviting foreign governments or international organizations to make foreign direct investment in Nepal,
(b) Organizing investment conferences, workshops or investment fairs in Nepal or in different countries to increase foreign direct investment in Nepal (c) To make recommendations to relevant ministries or agencies along with necessary suggestions to regularly improve laws, rules or policies related to investment and to make Nepali laws investment-friendly,
(d) To develop Nepal as an attractive investment center by making necessary arrangements to simplify procedures such as obtaining or renewing investment permits, establishing commercial establishments (companies), withdrawing funds or transferring funds,
(e) payment of taxes, customs or other government duties or facilitating the importation of machinery, equipment or tools to be imported by the investor for the project,
(f) To solve the problems seen in the field of investment promotion or to make the investment field more attractive to interact, discuss or brainstorm with the officials of representative organizations of investors from time to time.
