Rule 26
Approving Cost Estimates

(1) According to rule 63, the cost estimate prepared for the procurement work shall be approved by the following authority:-
(a) In the case of Metropolitan Corporation,-
(1) From the Secretary,
up to one crore rupees (2) Up to two crores of rupees from the principal,
(3) More than two million rupees from the Metropolitan Corporation.
(b) In case of sub-metropolitan city,-
(1) From the Secretary upto fifty lakhs of rupees,
(2) up to one crore rupees“ from the principal,
(3) More than one crore rupees from the sub-metropolitan city.
(c) in the case of a municipality,-
(1) Up to twenty five lakh rupees from the Secretary,
(2) Up to fifty lakhs of rupees“from the principal,
(3) More than fifty million rupees from the municipality.
