Section 70
Prohibition of entry into forest areas
(1) If deemed necessary from the point of view of forest protection, the designated officer may prohibit entry to the national forest or the entire part or any part of the protected forest by publishing a notice for a certain period of time. But it shall not be deemed to impose any restrictions on the way to and fro as designated by the designated officer.
(2) Whoever enters the prohibited area in violation of sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine up to five hundred rupees or imprisonment up to one month or both.
