(1) Any person, district forest produce supply committee or body desiring to obtain forest produce shall make a formal application to the authorized officer disclosing the following facts -
(a) Name of forest produce,
(b) Name of the area from which the forest produce is intended to be obtained,
(c) Type and quantity of forest produce,
(d) the purpose for which the forest produce is to be taken, and
(e) Place where forest produce is to be used.
(2) If an application is received according to sub-rule (1), the authorized officer may issue a license in the format as per Schedule-1 after making necessary inquiries and considering the quantity specified for sale and distribution according to the work plan. (3) The authorized officer shall grant the license only after understanding in advance the price, fee or duty of the forest produce from the applicant, the district forest produce supply committee or the body as per this regulation.
