(1) Notwithstanding anything else written in this Act, if there is no other alternative than using the forest to operate a national priority plan, a plan approved for investment by the Investment Board, a project of national pride or a national priority power transmission line extension plan, and such plan If the operation does not have a significant negative impact on the environment, the Government of Nepal may approve the use of any part of government-managed forest, protected forest, partnership forest, community forest, confessional forest or religious forest for the purpose of carrying out such a plan. In this way, the government of Nepal will be able to take the money or the land in exchange by making the criteria for the use of the forest area and the amount received for the use of such land will be deposited in the fund according to Section 66A.
(2) If there is any loss or damage to any person or community by granting permission to use the forest according to sub-section (1), the Government of Nepal shall make appropriate arrangements in this regard.
