Rule 46
Wildlife management

(1) If there is an increase in the number of wild animals other than the protected wild animals in the protection area and there is a situation of damage to agriculture and livestock of the local consumers, the council may send a recommendation to the department for commercial hunting by determining the quota based on the situation study of the relevant species.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the Council shall seek the advice of the conservation officer while determining the wild animals and their number (quota) for commercial hunting.
(3) On the basis of the recommendation sent according to sub-rule (1), the department may issue a hunting permit specifying the species, location and number.
(4) Hunting fees, additional hunting permit fees and other provisions shall be in accordance with the National Park and Wildlife Protection Regulations, 2030.
(5) According to sub-rule (3), fifty percent of the amount received for issuing hunting permit shall be deposited by the department in the fund of the council.
