Rule 33
Precautionary measures to be taken in relation to environmental protection
The person doing mineral work shall take the following precautionary measures in relation to environmental protection:-
(a) To act in such a way that there is less impact on the surface and underground water sources around the mineral area.
(b) To dispose of garbage, arrange ponds and suitable drains for water flow.
(c) Using effluent treatment measures as needed.
(d) To adopt measures to minimize pollution as much as possible at the source of pollution in mines that emit poisonous gas or excessive dust.
(e) Making the workers working in mines where poisonous gas or excessive dust are released to use gas filters or dust masks.
(f) To use explosives or devices that generate as little noise as possible during mineral operations.
(g) Using a silent device as an alternative arrangement of explosives.
(h) Unnecessary material (waste) released during mineral processing should be collected in a suitable place and surrounded by a wall or other means of planting plants.
(i) If it is necessary to extract surface soil (top soil) during mineral operations, that soil should be collected in a separate place and organized properly.
(j) After the excavation work is finished, mix the surface soil and plant plants at that place.
(k) To adopt necessary protective measures in mines where dangerous substances are used or dangerous conditions are created during the production of minerals.
(l) To work in such a way that there is as little impact as possible on the forest flora and fauna during mineral operations.
(D) To work in such a way that the natural beauty and cultural heritage are affected as little as possible during mineral operations.
