Rule 28
Application to connect electric line
:
(1) The person who wants to use the electric power distributed by the person who has received the license should submit an application in his office in the format prescribed by him.
(2) If an application is made in accordance with sub-rule (1), the person who has obtained the permit shall have the applicant's wiring checked and if it is found to be correct from a technical and safety point of view, the necessary arrangements shall be made to provide the power line and if the wiring is not found to be correct, he shall be notified to correct it.
(3) After checking according to sub-rule (2), if a dispute arises between the licensee and the customer regarding the provision of electricity line, the concerned party shall submit an application to the Chief Electricity Inspector. The inspector will examine such application and give the necessary order and it will be the duty of both the licensee and the customer to comply with such order.
(4) Before notifying the applicant to provide the power line, the person who has received the permit should discuss with the person who is interested in becoming a customer the power line and place the energy meter and determine the appropriate place.
(5) The person who has received the permit shall pay the cost estimate of the disclosed cost estimate to the person who is willing to be the customer, including the cost of connecting the electricity line to the customer and installing the goods on his behalf.
(6) After the person interested in becoming a customer submits the cost estimate received according to sub-rule (5) to the office of the license holder, the power line will be installed and the license holder will be in control of such power line.
