Rule 29
Dispute Resolution Committee
: (1) The Board may constitute the following Dispute Resolution Committee to investigate the complaints received by the Board in accordance with Rule 28 and recommend to the Board for necessary action:- (a) Nominated by the Board for at least five years in the field of law or justice. Experienced person - Chairman (b) Subject matter expert of health services appointed by the Board - Member (c) Authorized level representative working on the Board - Member-Secretary
(2) The dispute resolution committee under sub-rule (1) may invite subject experts to the meeting as required.
(3) The procedure for the meeting of the dispute resolution committee as per sub-rule (1) shall be as determined by the said committee.
(4) The work, duties and rights of the dispute resolution committee as per sub-rule (1) shall be as follows:-
(a) Investigate the complaints received by the committee and recommend to the board for necessary action,
(b) Investigate and recommend to the Board for action against the insured who has made a false complaint,
(c) If there is a situation where the complainant needs to understand the reality of the loss or damage, and recommend the opening accordingly (d) Recommend doing other investigations of the nature assigned by the Board.
