(1) A child who does not have any leave due can get special leave up to thirty days in a year, not exceeding sixty days in the total service period, with prior approval.
(2) A child who is on special leave as per sub-rule (1) shall not receive salary for the period of such leave.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rules (1) and (2), if a girl child becomes pregnant due to circumstances beyond her control or due to coercion, such girl child shall be given a special leave of 90 days before and after delivery. The girl who stays on such leave will be given full salary for the period of that leave.
