Rule 17
Registration of personal incident
: (1) After receiving the notification according to rule 16, the local registration officer shall check the received notification form and evidence according to the requirements and register it in the following registration book:-
(a) According to Birth Registration Schedule- 15,
(b) Death registration as per Schedule-16,
(c) Marriage registration as per Schedule-17,
(d) Divorce registration according to schedule-18,
(e) Immigration registration as per Schedule-19.
(2) In sub-section (1) and (2) of section 18 of the Act: If a personal incident is registered after the expiry of the mentioned period, a late fee as per schedule-3 will be charged.
(3) In the district where the identity card has been implemented according to section 3 of the Act, when registering an individual incident as per clause (a), (c), (d) or (e) of sub-rule (1), the local magistrate shall send his recommendation in writing to the department to provide the replacement identity number. And the pre-identification number from the department should also be mentioned in the personal incident registration book and personal incident registration certificate.
(4) Regardless of what is written elsewhere in this rule, if there is a situation where a personal incident needs to be registered in the case of a missing person due to a relationship, the local registrar shall register a personal incident in another way only after the relevant agency verifies such behavior.
(5) If the information is registered in accordance with sub-rule (11) of rule 16 and understood in accordance with sub-rule (12) of that rule, if such personal incident is not registered in the office of the local registrar of the place where the relevant person has his permanent address, the local registrar of the place where the information is received shall register the personal incident and The information should be submitted to the office of the local registrar of the place where the permanent address of the concerned person is.
(6) In accordance with sub-rule (13) of rule 16, if the details for the birth registration of a child born to a woman in prison are verified, the local magistrate of the place where the relevant person has permanent address shall register the birth of such a child. (8) According to sub-rule (7), other arrangements related to registering individual incidents and keeping records thereof shall be as determined by the department.
(9) For the purpose of registering individual incidents in accordance with this rule, the department shall provide secure access to the Panchikaran Management Information System to the local Panchikarni.
