Section 3

Can declare protected watershed area

1) If deemed necessary for the protection of land and watershed, the Government of Nepal may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and declare any area of Nepal as a protected watershed area.

(2) The Government of Nepal may modify the boundaries of the protected watershed area declared in accordance with sub-section (1) according to the requirements by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
