Rule 9
Declaration of Intensive Surveillance Area
(1) The department may declare an area of at least seven kilometers outside the bird flu-affected area declared in accordance with Rule 8 and any zoo or conservation area in the bird flu-affected area as bird flu intensive surveillance area for a specified period and proceed with intensive surveillance.
(2) After bird flu has been controlled in the intensive surveillance area declared in accordance with sub-rule (1), if bird flu occurs in the same district or province and other districts bordering the province, the perimeter of the intensive surveillance area can be expanded based on the area where bird flu has appeared. .
(3) The head of the office or the officer designated by him may collect samples for bird flu testing from the intensive surveillance area declared in accordance with sub-rule (1) and have them tested in the laboratory.
(4) If a zoo or conservation area falls within the bird flu-affected area, the department will coordinate with the relevant zoo or conservation agency at that location and arrange the necessary arrangements for monitoring and control based on the risk analysis report.
