In this regulation, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Act" means the Animal Health and Animal Services Act, 2055;
(b) "Office" means a veterinary hospital or an animal service expert center and the term also refers to an animal service agency in the district.
(c) "Poultry" means chickens, ducks, gourds, ostriches, ducks and any kind of domesticated birds and the term also refers to wild birds.
(d) "Poultry production materials" means organic materials used in poultry farming, feed, materials to be mixed with feed and the means for storing such materials and the term also refers to sacks, crates, utensils and other tools used in poultry production.
(e) "Poultry products" means poultry meat, eggs, bones, skin, feathers, scales, guts, feathers or other unprocessed or processed materials produced from poultry.
(f) "Laboratory" means animal or poultry disease investigation laboratory under the Department and the term also refers to other laboratories designated by the Ministry. (g) "Bird Flu" means avian influenza virus type "A" H5 and H7 sub- Type or _Intravenous Pathogenicity Index of at least 1.2 Avian influenza type "A" virus infection - or disease or infection caused by avian influenza "A" virus subtype designated as highly pathogenic avian influenza by the World Organization for Animal Health.
(h) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development of the Government of Nepal. (i) "Local level" shall mean rural municipality or municipality.
(h) "Committee" means Bird Flu Control Coordination Committee as per rule 3.
