: Regardless of what is written in the prevailing law, a person who provides information and clues about a gang or any other gang involved in drug dealing is punishable under this act, even if he is involved in the crime by helping to identify the main culprit in that regard. If there is a demand in the indictment for a full or partial exemption from the punishment under this Act, the officer hearing the case can also grant an exemption from the punishment accordingly.
