: In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise-
(a) “applicable medicine” means—
(1) Marijuana,
(2) Medicinal marijuana,
(3) Opium,
(4) Prepared opium,
(5) Medicinal opium,
(6) Coca weed and leaves, and
(6a) Any substance prepared by mixing the essence, mixture or salts of opium and coca.
(7) Natural or artificial drugs and psychotropic substances and their salts and other substances prescribed by the Government of Nepal from time to time by publishing notices in the Nepal Gazette.
(b) "Marijuana" means the following substances.
(1) Leaves and flowers of any plant of hemp origin, including hemp and Siddha,
(2) Natural khato, lissa and chob obtained from hashish and cannabis plants,
(3) Essences, essences, extracts, mixtures and drinks containing any of the substances mentioned above.
(c) "medicinal marijuana" means the inhalation or extraction of marijuana.
(d) "Opium" means the concentrated juice of the flower of opium.
(e) "Prepared opium" means opium prepared for consumption and opium extract after smoking.
(f) "Medicinal opium" means any form of opium prepared by any method for the purpose of medicine.
(g) "coca weed and leaf" means any species of coca weed and leaf of Erythroxylon origin as defined in the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, 1961.
(h) "preparation" means a solid or liquid mixture prepared as a quantity of one or more drugs.
(i) "Production" means the extraction of cannabis, bhang, siddha or hashish from the cannabis plant and the extraction of leaves from the coca weed.
(j) "Manufacturing" means all kinds of methods of extracting narcotic drugs except for production and this term also refers to the method of processing narcotic drugs, turning one narcotic drug into another narcotic drug or preparing narcotic drugs other than as a drug.
(j1) “Controlled Delivery (Controlled Payment Technique)” means a person from Nepal …………….. or Nepal ………In case of sending narcotic drugs to other countries, the technique of sending the narcotic drug in the same condition or in place of the narcotic drug in the same condition or in place of the narcotic drug in the package of the narcotic drug, in order to find out the final destination of the narcotic drug and the person receiving the narcotic drug, under the direct supervision of the drug investigation officer.
(j2) "Investigating officer" means an employee up to the rank of assistant police inspector or inspector appointed by the head of the drug control law enforcement agency in connection with the investigation of drug control.
(j3) "Medical center" means a medical center approved by the Government of Nepal for the treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
(j4) "Abuse" means the act of consuming narcotic drugs in excess of the quantity and quantity as recommended by a licensed physician or without recommendation.
(k) "Drug Control Officer" means an officer appointed or designated by the Government of Nepal in accordance with Section 21.
(l) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed or prescribed in the rules made or orders issued under this Act.
