(1) The Board of Directors shall be constituted with the following chairman and members for the operation, supervision and management of all the activities of the Authority:-
(a) The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation or the Minister of State or the person designated by the Government of Nepal – Chairman
(b) Representative, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation – Member
(c) Representative, Ministry of Finance – Member
(d) One person nominated by the Government of Nepal from among individuals from the private sector or associations, organizations with special involvement and experience in the tourism industry business - member
(e) One person nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the persons who have acquired special qualifications in civil aviation - Member
(f) 2 persons nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the directors of organizations operating air services, including in the private sector - members
(g) Director General – Member – Secretary
(2) The Government of Nepal may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette to add or change the chairman and members of the committee.
(3) If the committee deems it necessary, it may nominate an expert or consultant as a supervisory member of the committee for a period of time.
(4) The term of office of the chairman and members nominated in accordance with clauses (a), (d), (e) and (f) of sub-section (1) shall be four years. But if the government of Nepal wants to, it can re-nominate the chairman and members whose term of office has expired.
(5) The board of directors constituted under sub-section (1) shall exercise all the powers and duties of the authority in accordance with this Act and the rules made under this Act.
