Section 88
Shares to be taken for the purpose of being a director
: For the purpose of being appointed as a director of a company, if any number of shares is specified in the regulations of that company, then the person who will be the director must have taken the corresponding number of shares. If it is not specified, at least 100 shares must be taken. But the directors who are appointed according to sub-section (3) of section 86 and sub-section (2) of section 87 will not be required to take such shares.
