(1) If any treaty to which Nepal or the Government of Nepal is a party, ratified, acceded to, accepted or supported by the Legislature-Parliament, conflicts with the existing law to the extent that it is inconsistent with the purpose of the treaty, the existing law shall be invalid and in that respect The provisions of the treaty shall be applicable as per the law of Nepal. (2) Any additional obligation or burden on Nepal or the Government of Nepal from any treaty to which Nepal or the Government of Nepal is a party but which has not been ratified, accepted or supported by the Legislature-Parliament or has not received approval for accession. If there is a need to make a legal arrangement for its implementation, the government of Nepal should take steps to make a law as soon as possible for the implementation of such a treaty.
