(1) There will be an assembly as the highest body in the university.
(2) The composition of the Assembly shall be as follows:-
(a) Chancellor – Chairman (B) Vice-Chancellor-Vice-President
(c) Vice-Chancellor – Member (d) Member, National Planning Commission (Looking after Education) – Member
(e) Chairman, University Grants Commission – Member
(f) Two members from among the Vice-Chancellors of other Universities (G) Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance - Member (h) Secretary of the Ministry of Education of the Government of Nepal - Member (i) Dean – Member
(j) Director – Member
(k) Two members from among the Campus Heads (l) One member from among the teachers (d) The head of the municipality of the area where the university is located - member
(d) One member from among the mahants of the respective provinces (n) President, University Professors Association - Member (p) President, University Employees Union – Member
(th) President, one of the presidents of the Independent Students' Union of the University - member
(D) Four members, including at least one woman and one Dalit from among educationists and social workers - members
(d) Six members including at least two women from among industrialists, traders and farmers (N) Three members from among the donors of material and financial support (p) Registrar-Member-Secretary
(3) Apart from the ex-officio members mentioned in sub-section (2), the nomination of other members shall be done by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Executive Council.
(4) The term of office of nominated members shall be three years (5) If the position of a nominated member becomes vacant for any reason, another person shall be nominated for the remaining period after completing the procedure as per sub-section (3).
