Section 19
Assembly meeting
(1) The meeting of the assembly will normally be held twice a year.
(2) The meeting of the assembly will be called by the chairman or the chief.
(3) If one-third of the members of the assembly make a written request to the chairman or the head stating that it is necessary to call a meeting of the assembly, the chairman or the head shall call a special meeting of the assembly within fifteen days.
(4) At least seven days prior to the day of the meeting, the chief administrative officer shall send to all the members of the meeting at least seven days prior to the date, time, place and agenda of the meeting.
(5) If more than fifty percent of the total number of members present in the meeting are present, the quorum for the meeting of the meeting will be considered.
(6) The meeting of the assembly shall be presided over by the chairman or chief and in his absence by the vice chairman or deputy chief.
(7) The decision of the majority in the assembly meeting will be valid and in case of equality of votes, the person presiding over the assembly meeting will give the deciding vote.
(8) The decision of the meeting of the assembly shall be certified by the person presiding over the assembly.
(9) The Chief Administrative Officer shall act as the Secretary of the Assembly (10) Other procedures related to the meeting of the assembly shall be as determined by the assembly itself.
(11) The provisions contained in this section shall apply only to the extent that the provincial law does not provide otherwise in relation to the meeting of the assembly.
