Rule 83
Social workers and child psychologists listed and appointed

(1) In order to list social workers and child psychologists according to sub-section (2) of section 62 of the Act, the local child rights committee shall issue a public notice through the public media operating at the local level within twenty-one days and post such notice on the local level notice board and also put it on the website- will fall
(2) According to the notification issued in accordance with sub-rule (1), social workers and child psychologists with the following qualifications must submit an application to be listed in the local child rights committee with the documents and personal details specified in the notification:-
(a) Nepali citizens,
(b) has not been found guilty by a court of law on criminal charges involving moral turpitude or offenses against children,
(c) having good character,
(d) To be listed as a social worker, has graduated from a recognized educational institution in the relevant subject or has passed at least proficiency certificate level or twelfth standard and has received at least one month training in social work related subjects,
(e) To be listed as a child psychologist, graduated from a recognized educational institution in psychology or a related subject or at least passed the proficiency certificate level or twelfth grade and received at least one 8-month training in child psychology from a recognized agency or training provider organization.
(3) Upon examination of the application and documents as per sub-rule (2), the local child rights committee will list the qualified applicants as social workers or child psychologists.
(4) local based on performance of child protection related work and service delivery to social workers or child psychologists listed in accordance with sub-rule (3); The local level can appoint the required number on the recommendation of the Child Rights Committee.
(5) According to sub-rule (4), the appointment process and basis of selection of social workers and child psychologists shall be in accordance with the local law.
(6) In addition to the work and duties mentioned in the Act and this regulation, the work related to the rights and interests of children will be done by social workers and child psychologists as determined by the local Child: Rights Committee.
(7) The service conditions and facilities of social workers and child psychologists appointed according to sub-rule (4) shall be as determined by the local level.
