In addition to the functions, duties and rights mentioned in the Act, the other functions, duties and rights of the committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Apart from the services mentioned in Section 9 of the Act, to advise and facilitate the implementation of a contribution-based pension system for any employee, teacher or officer appointed in an institution owned or controlled by the Government of Nepal or regularly receiving subsidies from the Government of Nepal,
(b) Determining the amount of interest and profit to be provided on the amount deposited in the fund in accordance with sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Act,
(c) To approve the investment plan to invest the amount of the fund in accordance with section 18 of the Act,
(d) To make necessary suggestions to the Ministry regarding making the contributory pension system effective,
(e) to carry out actuarial valuation of liabilities to ascertain the condition and liabilities of the fund,
(f) To constitute any sub-committee or task force as may be necessary for the work of the Committee.
