Rule 16
Work, Duties and Powers of the Committee
The work, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) To increase public awareness for the protection of forests, wildlife and natural resources,

(D) Conducting programs to control landslides and soil erosion (e) To determine the method and fees for consumption of forest produce required for the daily consumption of the local residents within their jurisdiction,
(f) Making their annual and five-year action plans,
(g) Prescribing the area, type, number and fee of animals to be allowed to graze or keep stables,
(h) To carry out and implement the schemes that have been entrusted to him or have been handed over to him,
(i) To mobilize local non-governmental organizations and community organizations for the protection of protected areas,
(j) To inform the consumer group by keeping the accounts of income and expenses of the scheme correct (k) To carry out conservation and development programs in accordance with the goals of the action plan with the help of grants received from various donor organizations and individuals,
(l) To make the operations according to the approved management plan or action plan,
(D) To ensure compliance with the guidelines given by the Chairman of the Council for the purpose of fulfilling the purpose of the regulation (d) To submit the particulars requested by the Council from time to time,
