(1) It shall be the duty of this committee to advise the Government of Nepal regarding the quality and quantity of food items to be determined and maintain that quality.
(2) It shall be the duty of the committee to give such advice if the government of Nepal asks for advice regarding food items.
(3) The committee may form a sub-committee as needed for a specific task. The work, duties, rights and procedures of such sub-committee shall be as prescribed by the committee.
(4) The committee may make necessary regulations to determine its procedure. But such a regulation will be implemented only after receiving the approval of the Government of Nepal.
(5) The committee may appoint necessary staff for its office.
(6) The committee will normally communicate with the Government of Nepal through the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
