Section 31
Functions, Duties and Powers of Committees

(1) In addition to the duties, duties and rights mentioned elsewhere in this Act, the other duties, duties and rights of the Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Formulating policies regarding social security schemes,
(B) To give suggestions to the Government of Nepal on social security matters (c) To operate and manage the fund after approving the social security plan, budget and program,
(d) To formulate investment related policy and submit it to the Government of Nepal for approval (e) Arranging the necessary funds for the proper operation and management of various social security schemes,
(f) Coordinating and monitoring the work carried out by the Executive Director (g) To update the records of personal details of all persons including workers listed in the fund, self-employed persons, persons in government service or persons receiving remuneration from government funds,
(h) To regularly audit the fund and evaluate the overall economic and financial condition of the fund,
(i) To do necessary work in connection with the operation of the social security scheme,
(j) Conducting a program to provide quick employment to the labor force receiving unemployment benefits,
(k) Identifying additional areas of employment in the domestic labor market and conducting a program to involve the labor force in employment on a large scale,
(l) To make distribution of identity cards to the contributors,
(d) To comply with the instructions given by the Government of Nepal from time to time,
(d) Perform other tasks as specified.
(2) The committee may delegate some of its powers to the chairman, member, sub-committee or executive director or any authorized employee of the fund.
