The work, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows: (a) Analyzing and projecting the demand of the labor market and the availability of existing manpower, (b) Necessary policy to arrange employment or self-employment for the unemployed persons before the Government of Nepal. Recommending, (c) Guiding the provincial government and local level regarding the preparation of updated records of unemployed persons, (d) Preparing policies and programs related to unemployment assistance provided by the state to unemployed persons, (e) Regarding subsistence allowances provided to unemployed persons in Nepal. To give policy suggestions to the government, (f) to coordinate between the government of Nepal, the provincial government and the local level regarding the operation of the employment program, (g) to evaluate the implementation of the unemployment assistance program.
