Section 26
Punishment
(1) If someone commits the following offence, the labor and employment office shall punish the person or organization committing such offense as follows, depending on the amount of the offence:- (a) A fine of twenty five thousand rupees shall be imposed on the person who commits the offense under Clause (a) of Section 25. (b) A fine of ten thousand rupees shall be imposed on those who commit offenses under clauses (b) and (c) of section 25,
(c) If the person who commits an offense under Clause (d) of Section 25 has received such unemployment assistance or subsistence allowance, the amount shall be recovered and the equivalent amount shall be fined,
(d) The person who commits an offense under Clause (e) of Section 25 shall recover the amount received for unemployment assistance and fine an equivalent amount.
(2) The concerned labor and employment office shall send a written notice to the person or organization that does not pay the fine made according to sub-section (1) within the specified period to stop the service facilities provided by the concerned local level.
(3) The penalty as per sub-section (1) shall be collected from the concerned person or organization in the same manner as government dues.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this section, if the act according to this Act is considered an offense under other prevailing laws, then the provisions of this section shall not prevent the prosecution of such offense in a separate case according to that law, and if anyone commits any act contrary to this Act, he shall be punished. According to the prevailing law, if there is a punishment more than what is written in this section, the punishment will be according to the same.
