(1) The mountaineer team that obtains permission for mountain climbing must take with it the number of contact officers appointed by the Nepal government. The Government of Nepal may appoint mountain climbers without having to take a contact officer. (2) The contact officer who will be posted in accordance with sub-section (1) shall be given the facilities as prescribed from the date of departure of the concerned mountaineering team for the mountaineering expedition until they return to Kathmandu or other places designated by the Government of Nepal after completing the mountain climbing. (3) The work, duties and rights of the Liaison Officer shall be as prescribed.
