(1) If a vehicle registered in one area is to be driven in another area for a period longer than what is written in sub-section (2) of section 25, the owner of the vehicle shall submit to the authorized officer in the prescribed format along with the certificate of registration three copies of passport size photographs taken recently and the prescribed receipt attached. Application for registration should be made.
(2) If an application is made under sub-section (1), the authorized officer shall, subject to the criteria prescribed under section 23, examine the vehicle and if deemed appropriate to register the transfer, register the transfer of such vehicle and give a certificate of registration to the owner of the vehicle.
