Section 11
Armed Police Service Commission
:
(1) The Armed Police Service Commission will be formed with the following chairman and members to recommend to the authority for appointment to the posts filled by open competition of the Armed Police Service:-
(a) Chairman of the Public Service Commission or a member of the Public Service Commission designated by him – Chairman
(b) A person appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the officers of special category in the service of the Government of Nepal - Member
(c) Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs – Member
(d) Representative (Special Category), Nepalese Army – Member
(e) Inspector General of Armed Police – Member – Secretary
(2) The term of office of the Chairman and members of the Commission shall be four years and they shall be eligible for re-appointment.
(3) The provisions regarding remuneration, service conditions and facilities of the chairman and members of the commission shall be as prescribed.
(4) Based on the process and determined by the commission, the suitability of the candidate will be examined and recommended to the authority for appointment.
(4A) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (4), the written examination for filling up the post shall be conducted by the Public Service Commission.
(5) The Commission shall determine its own procedure.
(6) Other work, duties and rights of the Commission shall be as prescribed.
(7) The Commission may delegate any of its functions, duties and powers to any of its members or employees of the Government of Nepal for use and compliance under the prescribed conditions.
