(1) The Minister of Education, Science and Technology or the Minister of State will be the Vice-Chancellor of Pragya Pratishthan (2) The matters specified by the Assembly or the Vice-Chancellor to be implemented by the Vice-Chancellor shall be implemented by the Vice-Chancellor.
(3) In the absence of the Vice-Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor shall act as the Vice-Chancellor. 10 Scholars: (1) Scholars who have made outstanding contributions in the field of science and technology will be eligible to be scholars of Pragya Pratishthan. A committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor and one member of the assembly will be formed from the Vice-Chancellor under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor to make recommendations for the nomination of academics.
(2) The committee constituted as per sub-section (1) will recommend to the Chancellor to nominate the scholars who have made outstanding contributions in the field of science and technology and who have attained the specified qualification. When recommending for nomination, foreign scholars can also be included. But foreign academics will not be members of the Assembly.
(3) The Vice-Chancellor shall nominate the persons recommended as per sub-section (2) to the position of Pragya Pratishanta.
(4) When nominating according to sub-section (3), academicians will be nominated at the rate of maximum two in each year.
(5) Other arrangements related to academics shall be as prescribed.
