Section 9
Can be declared a cultural or touristic area
(1) If the provincial government deems it appropriate to protect the historical significance, archaeological objects, art or culture of a rural municipality or municipality or to promote tourism, it may declare a rural municipality or municipality or any area thereof as a cultural or tourist zone.
(2) The provincial government may arrange special programs and budgets for the development of cultural or touristic areas declared in accordance with sub-section (1).
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the municipality or municipality may declare any place within its area as a cultural or tourist area.
